Franck JAMART Painter Artist
Franck JAMART was born in Paris in 1970. He grew up and studied in Paris. Since his childhood, he has practiced drawing and painting as his main passion, music and sport. After studying civil engineering, he obtained a state diploma as a sports educator. He became a professional in the field of sports swimming and frequented the best swimmers in the world.
Franck Jamart devotes himself more and more to painting and drawing and exhibits in Normandy and Paris in a few galleries.
In Paris, he met his future wife Claire JACQUEMIN, granddaughter of great artists and offered her a decisive turning point for her career.
– his grandfather André JACQUEMIN, Painter, Engraver, Draftsman, Master of Printmaking, member and president of the Academy of Fine Arts of the Institut de France in 1989, frequents the greatest artists of the 20th century such as PICASSO, DUFY, MATISSE, UTRILLO, BELMONDO, DUNOYER DE SEGONZAC, COLETTE…
– his grandmother Andrée JACLET JACQUEMIN, Pastelist painter graduated from the Ecole nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs,
– his great uncle Maurice Georges PONCELET, Painter of Mediterranean subject and of the life of circus artists, his paintings are sought after by the greatest collectors.
The artistic family environment allows Franck JAMART to work on his technique and sensitivity, and his studio is located at Le Clos de la Chapelle in Bayeux, Normandy, Calvados, where he exhibits his works.
His paintings belong to several private French and foreign collections.
Jean-Charles STASI, Writer and Journalist
Franck Jamart has gold in his fingers. All you have to do to be convinced is to hear him play blues, rock or jazz on his guitar; or to discover his drawings, his watercolours and his oils on canvas.
Behind the wise appearance and the gaze has long burned the sacred fire of creation. A fire that never leaves him, judging by his prolific production and the eclecticism of his inspirations. Under his pencil or brush, the roofs of Paris take shape and colour, the Sacré-Cœur dome the banks of the Seine, the setting suns that set fire to Bayeux Cathedral, or the boats moving in unison with the Norman sky in the port of Honfleur.
Blessed are the artists: they are never bored because even their periods of inactivity are fruitful, filled with desires and memories. Franck Jamart is certainly one of them. By diving into his works, we embark with him on a journey through time and space that is rich in emotion.
We can only wish him good luck, with the hope that he will not drop the sails of his talent any time soon.
