Claire and Franck JAMART met and worked for years in Paris.
During their travels in France, Claire and Franck discovered Bayeux and fell in love with this city of art and history. Determined to live there, they bought a former historic private mansion with accommodation, artist’s studio, patios and chapel, which became a guest house.
Claire is the decorator and the mistress of the place. Coming from a family of artists, she was herself a musician (flute). Claire loves to hunt and decorate but also to discover our beautiful France through its architecture and history.
Painter, draftsman, decorator and musician (guitar), Franck painted the frescoes and paintings in the chapel and those in the other apartments.
Grandson by marriage of the Painter Graver André Jacquemin, former member of the Institut des Beaux Arts de Paris, and Andrée JACLET, graduate of the Ecole nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs et des Beaux Arts de Paris, Franck JAMART permanently exhibits his paintings at the Hôtel particulier “le Clos de la Chapelle Spa” in Bayeux in Normandy where his studio is located.
